To be released with the Battle missions book (which I will be buying the much anticipated basilisk and chimera kits. Excellent, I'll be having those then.
And up crop plastic killa kans and deff dreds too. Gah!!! It's the Stompa/Stormlord dilemma all over again! The imperium won that one, and will probably win this one too. Having never been keen on the models for dreads and kans they're up against it here, especially with me doing a speed freaks army. But if the models are pretty enough, I may just have my arm twisted...

If I ever did Orks I'd got for the traditionalist Snakebites, or the elitist tribe (who's name I forget), which would mean I'd get plenty of them. So glad they've finally brought them out in plastic now.

ReplyDeletebad moons are the richest tribe they have lots of mega armour and looters as thier teeth grow back the quickest and thats the currency lol. blood axes are the sneeky ones lots of infiltrators would be coolto theme army round something other than goffs or speed freeks. theres good post on bols about GW strange priority on model release. went down GW today played demo of War of the Ring, actually quite good and very diff to the standard lotr game
ReplyDeleteAh yeah that's their name. I really doubt I'll got for the Orks though, they aren't one of the armies that I've made an Escalation list for.

I'll take my codexes to work on my nights, work out a guard list and an ork list for escalation. See if either appeal. The ork list would be easier, would probably just need to tweak my ToFG force. The guard would be an entirely new project... with me thinking of running a fantasy ToFG starting in summer that might not be the best idea :oS
ReplyDeleteWell you've got most of the models you'd need already, so it's just a matter of making them ready. When you go to WoW you'll have a good idea of what the painting standard of other players is like and whether you could compete for Best Army at Escalation.
ReplyDeleteAlso you'll have a couple of months before you start WHFB ToFG (not even the military has this many acronyms).
Remember that during the summer I *should* be free (unless something bizarre happens) so we can all get a good amount of playtesting in. I know Rich wants to for his Space Wolves. I, on the other hand, am going to write my list out and stick to it come hell or high water :P because I'll be choosing units to fit a particular theme.
I have plenty of guard models but the ones that are painted aren't painted to the level I can achieve now... hence it'd be a full 2k project.
