A Knight Before Christmas
Twas the night before Christmas,
And all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring,
Apart from the geek running through the living room yelling "YIIIIPPPPPPEEEEE"
Ok, that doesn't scan so well, but here's the gist.
Fancy winning a Cerestus Knight for Christmas? Wait, let me rephrase, a Cerestus Knight of your choice, professionally painted in your choice of colour scheme... that sound better?
A friend and fellow gamer has had some rather poor news regarding the health of his partner, and they have young children, and our gaming group thought it may be nice to try to try to raise some money so perhaps they can have a little holiday or something, to try to raise their spirits and give them some good memories. Thus we are doing some activities at the club, but the also we are doing a raffle of a pro-painted Cerestus knight of the winners choice, issuing a raffle "ticket" for every £2 donated to a just giving page set up for this.
The winner will be announced on the 24th December, hence the name of the appeal.
Do please note that the guy we've got painting this ISN'T Santa... he can't perform miracles, bend space and time, have a team of elves at his disposal or any of the other marvellous things Santa can do. The winner will be announced in time for Christmas, however the Knight will most definitely NOT be in time...
On a brighter note, we have had a second prize donated by the staff of our local hobby store that shall remain unnamed for legal purposes (apparently they are not allowed to commit the store to charitable causes, but the staff wanted to help out off their own backs, which is nice) So not only are we raffling off a knight, we also have a copy of Age of Sigmar to give away. Say what you will about that game, it's not bad for £2...
